The John Currie Amateur Sport Legacy Fund

Supporting the goals and dreams of amateur athletes

Campaign Goal – $1,000,000

History

Lindsay Park Sports Society (LPSS) received $250,000 from the 1983 Western Canada Summer Games to be used for the benefit of LPSS and Talisman Centre.

The Legacy Fund was established to provide bursaries to amateur athletes, support sport competitions and provide specialized training equipment at Talisman Centre.

In 2012 LPSS renamed the fund in honour of John Currie, President of the 1983 Western Canada Summer Games and launched a fundraising campaign to increase the value of the Legacy Fund to $1 million.
